I'm pretty good at teaching myself languages, but I've lacked the drive to do so for a while now.

I have a few long Snarry WIPs and other HP WIPs I've been working on for years now, but because my drive to work on them is sporadic, none of them are at the level of quality I'd like for posting. That and the one WIP I have on AO3 is one I haven't updated in over a year now and I really ought to work on it.

I try to keep the characters, particularly the HP ones, pretty in character, but I also have my own interpretations of them. For me I have a reasoning for Severus' behavior in the books. I also remedy the frustrations I feel when I read the later books. To me Snape's actions are very obviously those of a spy; particularly in GoF when it's pretty clear Dumbledore was asking him to spy again in the hospital wing, and also in OoTP during the Occlumency lessons when he basically outright answers Harry's question that he's spying. It's when he tells Harry that it's not his job to see what Voldie is doing and Harry shoots back at him that it's his (Snape's) job, and he as good as confirms it. I get frustrated that no one seems to stop and consider Severus' actions and put things together and reason that he's spying and only killed Dumbledore because he was dying and because it was part of their plan. That said, it shows how good a spy he was. Sorry this is long. He's my absolute favorite fictional character and I loved him pretty much from the start when I read the first book back before the HP series got popular. I connected with him right away and have pretty much always seen through what we probably weren't supposed to. Then again, JKR doesn't like people liking Slytherins.

I ignore anything after the 7th book and I can't really watch the movies except for certain scenes and probably the first two in their entirety. I'm an outlier in that Chamber of Secrets is my favorite book of the series and Prisoner of Azkaban is probably my least favorite (followed closely by OoTP, but that's because of Umbridge and because of Harry being dense as hell). For most people the two books are switched.
